Meet the Team
Amy Monti, DDS
Dr. Monti has been living in Southern California since 1988, earning her Bachelor and D.D.S. degrees from UCLA (heads up-she's a devoted fan). Looking for a change of scenery, Dr. Monti completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry in Boston at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Children's Hospital. After two New England winters, she felt that it was time to return to southern California sun and she currently lives in Valencia with her husband, Ryan and children, Joseph and Elizabeth. She enjoys exercising, attending Dodger games, and cheering for the UCLA football team. She is, demonstrably, a sports nut.
Dr. Monti opened Adventure Dental in 2004, and is an active member of the Santa Clarita community. She volunteers for a number of local groups, and is a member of the board of the Santa Clarita Foundation for Children's Dental Health.
Dr. Monti is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American and California Dental Associations, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Southern California Society of Dentistry for Children.
Ellen Stone, DMD
Dr. Ellen Stone completed her dental degree at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1999. She and her husband Danny moved to California where she completed a one -year residency in general dentistry in West Los Angeles. After working in private practice for two years seeing both children and adults, she realized that the aspects of dentistry that she truly enjoyed were those involving children and adolescents. She then took the opportunity to move to Manhattan for two years to obtain her specialty in pediatric dentistry at New York University in 2004. Since 2004, she has worked exclusively with children and teens in private practices in and around Los Angeles.
Her husband, Danny, two children Ethan and Lyla, and shepherd-lab Mia complete her family. She enjoys long distance running, traveling, cooking, and is fluent in Spanish.
Cassie Cromer, Office Manager
Cassie moved to the Antelope Valley when she was ten years old. Having grown up in a rodeo family, it came as no surprise when she became actively involved in the AV Youth Rodeo Association, winning All-around Cowgirl in 2002. Cassie practically grew up in dental offices with her mother, who has been in the field for more than 20 years. Cassie is the proud mother of one daughter, Cammie. She enjoys all things outdoors, bowling, reading, and going to the movies.
Ada Avila, RDA
Ada has lived in the Antelope Valley most of her life. She graduated from Highland High School and attended Clarita Career College where she trained to be an RDA. Ada has only worked with pediatric dentists, and she can't imagine doing anything else. She is happily married to her husband, Armando, and has two children, Atalie and Adrian. Her hobbies include shopping for cute stuff for Atalie, spending time with her family, and watching soccer.
Denise Maryniak, Patient Care Coordinator
Denise has lived in Santa Clarita for most of her life, and is a graduate of Canyon High School. She is happily married to her husband David and has one son, Nicholas. She has worked in the dental field for over 10 years and especially enjoys working with kids. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and snowboarding.
Janet Stanford, RDA
A graduate of Saugus High School, Janet has lived in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1979. She has two children, Ryan and Danielle, and is very active in the sports community as a cheerleader for Ryan, a football player for Cal Lutheran and Danielle who is attending Paul Mitchell. Janet has over 25 years experience as an RDA, and more than 10 in pediatric dentistry. When she isn't getting kids to smile in the office, or cheering for her own at sporting events, she is spending time with family and friends.
Jessamyn Ratzlaff, RDA
Jessamyn lived in Santa Clarita for most of her life but recently moved to Lancaster. She is happily married with two children, Aurora and Robert. She started her career in general dentistry, but now says that she is so happy working with kids that she can never imagine going back.
Michelle Duren, RDA
Michelle spent her early years growing up in Simi Valley, but has spent most of her life in the Antelope Valley. She graduated from Highland High School, but she won't say when. She attended the RDA program at Clarita Career College. She is very happily married and has two children, Hayle and Austin. In the free time she is able to pull together, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends. When she isn't cheering on her kids at one of their sporting events, she is out at the Angels' games cheering for them.
Sarah White, RDA
Sarah grew up in Agua Dulce and attended Valencia High School, where she was a cheerleader. She was with us full time for years, but left us to pursue Dental Hygiene school. You'll still see her here from time to time, and hopefully she'll be back full time when she finishes school.
